Sometime ago I was asked to redesign the website for JE-Architecten since it needed a fresh update. Seeing as this company was targeted towards sustainable architecture, I scheduled a call with the person running the company to get to know him. From this, I sketched a new design for a website. The playful typeface of the logo with the lighter green colours was really interesting to work with. Together with some inspiration and a lot of discussion with the client we decided to make the homepage the portfolio itself, instead of hiding that in a subpage. This means the previous work of the firm comes up as soon as possible as someone visits the website. We also chose to hide any title or other textual information unless the user clicks or hovers on the card that contains the portfolio card. What I learned was also to implement the recurring "JE-" prefix into the website, such as the "JE-CONTACT" button on the bottom right of the page. I also learned how to work with a lot of images and generate galleries.
